Is Southeast of Ireland a good place for a tech firm to invest in ?

 Hi, welcome back.

I hoped you enjoyed reading my first blog where I introduced myself, if you have not read much such to go back and read it now before continuing this one. Today I am going to be discussing is the South East of Ireland a good place to for a tech firm to invest in?

Well before I further into this just think to yourself do you think it is a good place to invest in? What is the infrastructure like? Is there available connects to Europe? Are there easily accessible connections to post graduate students

  1. 1. Infrastructure

The Southeast of Ireland is a prime location to locate for a tech firm due to improved infrastructure such as Rosslare Euro Port, Waterford Airport, new road to bypass New Ross creating a better road to connect with south of Ireland.

  1. 2. Close proximity to Dublin

With the Southeast being in such close proximity to Dublin, employees of these tech firms have a lower cost of living but still have the opportunity to connect with other tech firms and clients in Dublin. Below is a list of some counties rent prices from Statista from Q2 2024. Full list available at https://www.statista.com/statistics/1415962/average-residential-rent-ireland/#:~:text=In%20the%20second%20quarter%20of,of%202%2C042%20euros%20per%20month.

  1. 3. Available connects to SETU

SETU is South East Technological University with campuses in Waterford, Wexford and Carlow in which the tech firms can work with to provide undergraduate and postgraduate programs. This will help boost their recognition in the location and help them fill jobs with the best candidates. You can have a look at what is available at SETU on their website which is available here https://www.setu.ie/.

I hope you enjoyed this week's blog and do not forget to come back next week where I will be discussing The Rise of Digital Payment Systems.
